$19 service call — that’s the full price of the visit. A local tech comes out, finds the problem and gives you a written price. Parts and labor for the repair are extra, and nothing starts until you approve it. If you say no, you pay $19 and that’s it.
No trip, fuel or after-hours fees. We’ll tell you the arrival window when you call.
Visita a domicilio: $19 en total. El técnico revisa la puerta y le da un precio por escrito antes de trabajar. Si no acepta, solo paga $19.
East Camarillo is a place where people put down roots. Most households in 93012 own their home, and the housing runs from detached houses in Mission Oaks, Spanish Hills and Camarillo Springs to townhomes and the 55-plus community at Leisure Village. Out in unincorporated Santa Rosa Valley the lots are larger, and some garages are too. Many neighborhoods are planned communities with HOA rules about how a door looks, which matters if a door ever needs replacing.
Fire season and power outages are real concerns here. The Mountain Fire in November 2024 burned through Camarillo Heights and Somis, close to 93012. California law SB 969 has required a battery backup on new garage door openers since July 1, 2019. It was passed after people in the 2017 wildfires couldn’t get their cars out of their garages when the power went out. An opener installed before that may have no backup at all.
Learn the manual release before you need it. With the door fully closed, pull the red cord hanging from the opener, and a door with healthy springs will lift by hand. Never pull it with the door open, since the door can come down hard. If it won’t lift or you see a gap in a spring, leave it and call. From Somis (93066), Moorpark (93021), Newbury Park (91320), north Oxnard (93036) or the rest of Camarillo (93010), give us your address and you’ll hear the arrival window before you commit to anything.

Questions
The power is out and my car is in the garage. How do I get it out?
Make sure the door is fully closed, then pull the red release cord on the opener. That disconnects the door from the opener, and a door with good springs should lift by hand. If it feels too heavy or one side drags, stop: a spring or cable may be broken. Call instead of forcing it.
Does my opener need a battery backup?
Openers sold or installed for California homes since July 1, 2019 must have one under SB 969. Older openers often don’t. If yours has no battery, or the battery no longer holds a charge, the technician can explain your options and give you a written price.
I live in Leisure Village. Do you work there?
Yes, Leisure Village is in 93012. If there’s a gate or a guard, tell us when you call so the technician can get in.
Is the visit more for Santa Rosa Valley or Camarillo Springs?
No. The $19 service call is the full price of the visit out there too, with no trip, fuel or after-hours fees. You get a written repair price before any work starts; parts and labor for the repair are extra; and if you turn the repair down, you pay $19 and nothing more.
